Picture of Woodrow Wilson in a frame that I would like to know a little about. Notice the embossed flags on the frame. Is the frame rare because of the flags that are embossed in the frame?

I think you've got something here. How did you come by it?
It's nice. I'm betting it hung in some Government building.
I traded a new girls bike for it about 16 years ago.
Found some info on this. Through all american history, it wasn't rare to find the portrait of the president in an average family's house. I found on the internet nearly indentical frames with differant presidents on them. I'd say it'd from when he was president, 1911-1913, I think??? Worth around 50 to one hundred dollars. That's my guess at least. Plus, I don't think pictures of presidents would hang in goverment buildings. It would be flatering, but I don't think so.
Thanks for your input cocacolakid97

Thank you for the info AR8Jason, I agree with you, but I believe it is convex glass meaning curving outward or bulging outward as opposed to concave.
I was taught by an old man that it was called convex, am I wrong? I just want to describe it properly.
Thank you AR8Jason.

Thank you mammi!
I have an old oval frame with convex glass, about 24 or so inches high, which holds a scetched picture of my Grandmother made in the late 1800's. She was in her late teens (or so her sister (my Great Aunt) told me. My aunt also told me that she was chosen at the time to pose for a Coca Cola portrait, her payment for the 'poseing session' was the scetched picture of herself, which I now have. I was also told that her likeness was seen on one of the old Coca Cola prints. I don't know for sure, but I would be interested to find out. Is there a site that has all the old CocaCola ladies pictures that I could check out?
Nice item.
It most likely dates from WW1 due to the patriotic motif.
Even with the frame damage it is still desirable. Be careful when handling-- the cracked pieces have a tendency to fall off when bang a little.

I would think this is a pretty valuable piece now Michael. With the patriotic framing and Woodrow Wilson to boot. Wilson once said about Teddy Roosevelt, "I think it better to pay him absolutely no attention whatsoever."
