I can't get a good photo of this. It really does glow. I believe it to be Murano glass bowl/ashtray but it is not marked.
So I kind of pass these types of bowls by when I see them at the thrift. This one was particularly nice so...I've been researching and whoops!!! these bad boys are really popular. Selling like hotcakes! Guess I'll be picking them up now ;))
MoonStone, this totally reminded me of you. Very opally.

      What madness? Seguso?
    11. AmberRose AmberRose, 12 years ago
V, it's my madness. I didn't realize how hot and hard to find these had become. How I always look at these but never buy them "because I'm the only one who thinks they are pretty".
So it should be Murano Delusion but "madness" is catchy.

Hi AmberRose! Eye4beauty is right! Folk turn up at a preset venue, get out a table/ground cover and empty the car boot of the things they want rid of! I have found Fab stuff there!! You must start one, rent a field/tarmac area, put posters up and charge per car! (more for Vans) The car boot close to me gets enormous in the Summer months, the person who owns the ground makes a killing too! Some folk just do not know what they are selling, some clear out relatives homes etc. There is always a bargain to be had!! I Love it!!!!! Must get up early and be there when folk are setting up, that is the best time (usually 7am)

      Randolph Review:
Well I had 20 boxes packed full of treasures. Yep, that's a whole lot.
Friday was set up and dealers trolling for the cream by trying hard to wiggle you down. I priced well so held firm yet still still sold quite well.
Saturday started and continued to be fast and packed. Funny thing was that I was selling everything I wondered why I bought it. Go, go, go! Hubby came in toward the end and brought me a much needed cocktail, then out to dinner.
Sunday was even faster and more furious. I was creatively filling all the holes that had developed.
What Sold: pottery, lots and lots of pottery. Specifically McCoy and Haeger. I was shocked. Also wooden Scandinavian, Dansk, painted porcelain, fun kitchen kitsch and 70s glass.
What Didn't Sell: Blenko, enamels (remember how well they sold last time?), MCM doo dads and glass figurines.
What did I see people carrying around: vintage suitcases and vintage TV trays
Surprise: I only kicked one person out of my booth (being rude and telling everyone my treasures were aweful).
Best Surprise: How lovely most folk were and how much fun they were having.
End Result: eight boxes home and nice profit in my pocket.
Regrets: I wanted to go shopping bad!

Amber, thank you for sharing and what a story for the weekend it was!!! That was a wonderful time! I would love to go shopping and have fun with you! I am happy for you! You are a shrewd seller and a good one!!! I need to be more like that! XOXOXOXOXO my friend. Missed you!

Yes, it seems the tide is shifting to the mod. Eye and I had been speculating about this earlier. However, it was one show...but yea, I think so...
Thanks for the interest and love everyone. Obviously I've been busy so a bit out of touch. Now just pooped! Big hugs!

Well said JayHow! I was shocked at the stuff that went. Stuff I'd had forever. I would have bet money certain pieces would fly off...and they sit in a box.

Yes, I know...isn't that funny! I've sold a bunch of eggs for terrariums.

It went to a woman who does company promotions. She has a whole collection of this kind of stuff. As I told you, if it didn't have the logo, I wouldn't have thought twice about it :))
