Four more self assured ladies in big hats - this time with lots of stuff on top of the hats.
1) Ribbon rose hat. This is a wide brim hat with huge ribbon roses all over the top of it. A face of self assurance. No ID. No photographers infor - just an embossed coat of arms on the front with a knight's head (armor) a shield with a cross on it, and swirls on either side. On a 2/3 wide cabinet card.
2) Velvet and feather hat. A wide brim velvet hat gathered and topped with lots of feathers. Say hello to Elizabeth Raycroft Hill. Done by Luck and Oshkosh, Wis. Another coat of arms embossed on the front of this one - shield topped with dragon's head. On the front of the shield is a fleur de lis with a banner across the front with small crosses on it. Same swirls on each side like in #1. On a taller than usual but 2/3 wide cabinet card with a plain embossed oval frame.
3) A pancake hat with multiple swirls of cloth topped with what appears to be a dead bird. Dead animal around the neck. Lovely set of pince nez. Very self assured countenance. No ID. 2/3 cabinet card with a lovely embossed oval but no photographer info whatsoever.
I love the second Lady...she seems nice!
Yes Moonstonelover, it is interesting to look into the eyes of people that are now only dust and see what we can see. Thanks for the comment and appreciation, and also to Bellin, vetraio, officialfuel, b'buss and AmberRose.
