Here are four ladies with BIG hats. A mark of self assurance perhaps?
1) Lady in white with a very tall sweeping brim - chennile perhaps? No ID. Done by Anatole Brien in Montreal on an interesting cabinet card with embossed oval frame and only about 2/3 width of a normal card.
2) Lady in striped shirt and very high sweeping brim topped with flowers or feathers. The very face of self assurance with laughing eyes. No ID. Done by Woodward in Fall River, Mass. on a lovely cabinet card with a decoratively embossed oval frame.
3) Lady in white with a black pancake hat topped with enormous lofty ostrich plumes - this must require serious hat pinning to counter balance the weight of the feathers off the back. No ID. Done by Jacques Joel in New York on a 2/3 size cabinet card.
4) Lady at the gate with a white pancake hat and enormous lofty plumes straight up unto the air - serious hatpins to counterbalance this one too! No ID. Done by R. Somiesky of Pottstown, PA on a regular cabinet card with an artistic backstamp.
Thanks Musikchoo, vetraio, bellin, AmberRose, Moonstonelover and mustangtony for the appreciation!
