hi cw...thought I would add to my glass art vase collection...this one is very heavy! the color is unmistakenly gaspari....the suspended swirls in the bottom of vase are cool too....this vase was made sometime in the late 1950's...I welcome any comments or info about my latest glass art find...as always...love this site! and thankx for looking.
Oooooh, I love the color and and swirls
thank you for the kind comments...there was another vase the exact same but larger and I couldn't afford both so I only have the smaller one....maybe with some luck I will come across another one...sure hope so! once again thank you for the kind comments...love this site!
Just come across this. These vases are neither Gaspari or as they are more often described Kosta Boda. They are Chinese.
Regardless of who the artist ( Chinese or Italian or what have you there is an artist who created this) I think its lovely. I can't imagine it's mass produced if that's what the previous comment meat to imply by saying " it's Chinese." The Chinese are responsible for a great deal of of beautiful glass.. a source might have been helpful.
well i deal art with the Chinese , and lived in China for a long while
the counterfeit production of coins as estimated at4.800,000 a year !!!!!!!!!!!!! rare coins
the ATM counterfeit is about 40 percent of the bills
and the glass counterfeit is estimated on 11,000,000 $ , and that was 15 years ago
did you know Saunta Claus is real, dream on
ironhead501 It's Chinese - was a statement of fact, these are relatively poor quality. What is my source - I have handled them with their original made in China label.
