As some of you may know, I like to pick up, when they rarely show up, old MCM enamels. Catherine Holm especially. Most of these were work a day cooking pots, and it shows. I have been looking around for a good cleaning tip, and I think I found one. Lemon juice and baking soda.
Just mix them into a paste, layer it on, let it sit for a while, then scrub with an old tooth brush. Watch out it foams!
The first picture is of the inside after I had soaked and scrubbed this CH with cleaner, bleach and a few other things. Add mixture...note foam...scrubbed with brush and voila! Not perfect but much much better.
If you got a good tip on cleaning just about anything...Share!
Tony you are so fast! Thanks!
I have not heard that about the lemon. I have not noticed a fade effect. I am using the concoction to clean off the harden goo, and clean up the grey scuff marks.
I do know this about dish detergents. I have seen many a ruin treasure due to this effect.

Cleaning has been my hobby since childhood. I loved to clean my room and also to clean up the room of my sister and parents. I cleaned the dust every day, but it appeared very quickly.
