These badges were inherited. Does anyone know who they belonged to?
They were given to me by my mother who recently passed away.
I'm guessing they are from the late 1800s.

Don't know anything about F.D. badges, but love these.
Swampscott Fire Department has a Facebook page.
There's some interesting photos of Lynn and Swampscott accessible here:

I've contacted Swampscott Fire Dept and they confirmed through their Facebook page that it is their badge, and the oldest one they've seen to date,
Perhaps it is someone who worked at both Brigades? I wonder which is the oldest brigade? Lynn?
I also went to Rogers old camas and mentioned your posting on CW.
Maybe he will pick up on it?
They are from between 1890-1910 and so while I don't think anyone is still alive from that time it would be great to hear the history :)
All three are probably a set that belonged to one man. The cross looks like a hat badge. The shield shaped badge was possibly for a helmet and the third would be his breast badge. A super set and very old!
