Full Blown "OCD"! I have LOVED Records since I was a kid! When I went into the Military my Mother sold my collection back in the 80's. I was T*@&#ED off! I had a special box with about 50 albums that I took with me to Germany, "Beatles" other than that all was lost. I started recollecting yrs back and haven't stopped since. CD's are ok, but I love to hear the needle hit the album, hisses, pops and all!
I put some of mine on youtube as well!

I am down to 1500/2000. Major categories are 50's/60's, exercise, comedy, jazz, Christmas, Black History and country. Mast are in storage now. Down to 5 stereo's!
LOL, I have a 60's console, 4 record players. I have to make more shelfes to get the rest of albums up, I lost count! I like 50's 60's and 70's rock. But I have just about every genre of music.
WOW! Awesome collection Dave! I had a much smaller collection of albums that were my parents.... Bill Cosby comedy, Hair, all kinds of different music I grew up listening to and some really old stuff I had never heard of. I lost them all years ago in Hurricane Rita. I was super bummed. :(
i have a record collection to and have about 4k records and there is all kinds of music from the blues to rock and roll and soul gospel i take a record over cd any day great collection
What are records?
Just kidding lol
Vikingfan82, damn whipper snapers! LOL Next thing you going to want to know is " What is a Walkman"! LOL Dave
Hey, I was talking to this girl one time and I had to explain what a cassette tape was. I suddenly felt WAY older than her! LOL
My kid freaked out over a 8-track, had to go into details on how it worked. He thought it was lame! LOL Dave
8-track? How about the 4-track tapes? I've still got a few. I remember when 8-track came out you could get an adapter that would let you play the 4-tracks in an 8-track player. Did I just age myself or what. LOL
If you look at the shelfs you will see Rolling Stones & Jackson 5 Reel to Reels! LOL
Love those reel to reels. No track changes in the middle of a song! I have an Akai reel to reel with 8-track built in the side to transfer to reel.
Ok I really dont know what those are haha.
And you lucky they don't have a section for Laser Disc! LOL
I do know what those are, my grandparents had one.
I bought about 200 of them 15 yrs back! I still use them!. LOL
You are OCD aren't you? lol
I got it Bad! I have a huge room add on on the back of house filled with stuff. Not messy, very organized. But I am prepared, bought the house next door to move into once I need more space. LMAO...
Can I come pickin' when you croak? :P
Funny! Thats what my God Kids say! LOL
My ex scratched up about 30 of my albums and if there was ever a reason to inflict injury, I would have, if he hadn't of been so big!
Try a Tonya Harding! Crack knee caps with a bat. LOL Dave
I know how you feel! The difference my Mom just gave them away. Great collection
Good idea Dave. I was so mad though, I was thinking more in the lines of Lorena Bobbitt!!! I'm much, much more mellow now!! LOL
Great collection, I've got a few, maybe 150-250, all of them are late 60's early 70's rock'n'roll, still listen to them . But yours is great.
My brother has a collection that large, mine is about half that. Or was. I gave most of them to my oldest son who loves my era music. He did not get my Beatles however.
