Saw this at an estate sale Thursday and could not pass it up. I don't typically bring home things that are so fragile, but the expression on this dog's face and the wild sculptural quality of it's fur, sold me on this one.
It is stamped 'MADE IN ITALY' '2072' on the bottom and hand signed in the clay on the right haunch. S. something, I can't make it out. Does anyone recognize it?
It is about 6" tall.

When i first saw this, like HW, i thought green dog too, but a closer look i see they're not leaves but stylised ears and fur in a leafy shape.
Its lovely, quirky Deco, I'm not surprised you for took it home, I'd love it in mine:)
