As I promised, here is my second Chinese chair. A little less ornate, and a bit smaller I have been told by two different people (one being the original owner) that this is more valuable/sought after. I bought the two chairs from a very wealthy collector in central NJ. He was downsizing, and getting rid of at least 20 chairs just like these. I picked this one out of the bunch and the man started weeping. He had such an emotional attachment to the chair, but he could see how much I liked it as well. He actually gave me a good deal....but I felt kind of bad, and kind of good, because I do love the chair. It sits in my living room for people to see.
