It's very nice lundy,Looks Chinese.. I'll see what I can find out about the mark. Sometimes they are just greetings and salutations like "Good fortune and long life" and pieces are not always from the period if the mark says it's old. Very tricky to ID Asian porcelain. Looks like something I've seen before though. -Mike-

Here you go lundy...It's a fairly modern piece. This mark in variations was used on porcelain from the late 60's to 90's.It's read from right to left starting with the character that looks kind of like our small "t". It basically says. Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi. Meaning: "Great Qing Qianlong Period Make". The other little black mark could be an artist of factory mark. This site is a great resource for Chinese and Japanese marks. http://gotheborg.com/marks/index-china-marks.htm

mikelv 85 is very skilled , but this time i think he is wrong, the mark is a highbrow exlusive type of Tongzhi Nian Zhi Da Qing, but , time and period are attractive for faking
so the question is how to fake, do we fake it the Republic Period way or the proc way
the mark is too watery and not ferro red enough , so its faked the Proc way

the triangle ( factory and presing) and the pastel colors makes it late, somewhere around 1980 or something like that

sort of substantiaton otherwise i have to run whole database ( was a nobrainer actually) zie catawiki lot43016061 , not a completly right comparison , because its a republic period pendant , yours is proc , but to good an idea, , don,t trust marks , trust the quality

this is a nice example for H2O, this is kaishu script we could do zuansh cript later it is more but much more occuring

first we take a qing dynasty reign marks ( pinintrest) ( qing with a Q ! an dont forget to to type reign

so 10 multeplied with 6 symbols so a lot of crowfeet in the scribbling

take lundi,s plate the left one

      1= left top
      2 right top
      3 is left middle
      4 right middle
      5 left under
      6right under

look at the chart there is reason why some symbols are blue and some are black

      so the symbols
      r2
      -l3
      r4
      l5

are complety obsolete, because they are the same and non distinctive
that,s is a relieve because we toss of junk

than we toss the shunzi mark 1641-1661 and the xuantong 1909-1912 because they are always and they got a very low occurence

IMO opinion you can forget Daoguang 1821-1850 jiaging 1796-1820 xianfeng 1851-1861depends how far one cognitief span is

      so what remains is
      kangxi 1662-1722
      yongzheng 1723-1735
      qianlong1736-1795
      tongzhi 1862-1873
      guangzhu 1874-1908-

so what do we have to remember kangxi 4 dots thats all =l1
yongzheng you have to rember the sort of F =l1

qianlong remember then the master key mark = L1 and NOT THE FISHHOOK MARK= right 6 because it is more distinctieve see Guanghu FISHHOOK =r6 , the key is an better indicator than the fishhook

Tongzhi remember r6 ( open mouth symbol, like the Munch painting) is an far better than the -l1 symbol

guanghu thats the test if you think logically
you might think heeeeee fishhook we need we need r 6

but qianlong is also an r6
so the master key in qianlong is an better to not mix it otherwise you , but u pardoned because quite a lot of wexpert do it

so actually you diminish lets say 54 by lack of relevance or occurence

what remains is 4 dots ok kangxi

      major F ok yongzheng

      masterkey ok qianlong

      open mouth ok tongzhi

fishhook ok we just f,,,,, , up because the fishhook still an common denominator see qianlong we need the absence of the apparence masterkey symbol for an shut out

so 5 symbols or left of the symbols , and believe you solve 85 % of your problems in Qing Dynasty Kaishu script

Hit him Pete , don,t forget your glasses
