Thanks for the quick reply. Why were many of the badges destroyed in 1901? I would definitely be willing to pay to get my hands on a real badge. I'm checking with a few badge collecting sites now.
Great post! My grandfather was a Milwaukee Police Officer (Badge 384). I have always wanted to find one of the six-sided star badges from this era to remember him by. Any idea where to search?
