I have looked at all three of those and have not found it,someone told me that they were doing reproduction of this type of stuff in south America,but where I don't know.I haven't found it anyplace ye...
In mu opinion I am a wood collector and never paint or cover carved wood as it is an antique and you will ruin the value of it.If you just plan to keep it and use it someway its up to you,but it will...
Don: I have the same thing with out the salad tongs.I don't have the bown either,just the stand.I like it really well mine the ends are plain don't have the men carved on them.I collect wood carved it...
I have seen this at a friends house,and he said he was told it was from africa from one man and from haiti from another man so take your pick.Go to african mask and see if its there african wood mas...
I have seen them also they I was told are jewish candle holders.thats all I know..
They are made in africa still today for people to buy.The ones you have are fairly new though there are some old ones out there that are worth some money,yours are very nice and done very well though....
