I'm Vicki and I'm brand new to the vintage world. We have inherited a house from family members who were MAJOR hoarders.
There are probably about three lifetimes (my own, not historical) worth of goodies to dig through in here. Known collections consist of tons of photography equipment, coin collections, lots of really interesting household knick knacks, tools, books, tons of old sewing and knitting patterns, etc.
My personal favorite though, as I'm a bit of an amateur jewelry designer, HAS to be the jewelry collection. It is clear that the majority (if not all) of it is costume jewelry, but it's still incredibly gorgeous. It appears that she probably sold Avon for a time as there are tons of Avon items including jewelry, men's and women's scents...the bottles themselves seem as if they might be fun to collect.
I am trying my best to do my research myself and have managed to identify some really beautiful pieces which I will share as soon as I can manage to take some decent picture of them. There are others though, that I'm at a complete loss on and am hoping that some of the experts here can give me a shove in the right direction. I'll happily participate and share my knowledge...as I actually gain some.
Sorry for the long winded introduction. I look forward to drooling over everyone's show and tell posts and getting to know some of you better!
