Still a mystery!
I dunno. Maybe it was just for assembly? I'd like to find more info but it's not really trickling in :(
Anyone? The Mystery continues
Still waiting on some advice on cleaning/polishing from the experts, but I believe we've all determined it's an old towel holder?
After much searching, I found it. It's made by Laurel in the Gaiety pattern. Thanks for all your help!
That's exactly what I was going to use it for. A hat stand for my custom and vintage hats I sell on Etsy. I have some tarnex, brasso and mothers. Think I should start with Mothers?
I'm in Florida. Found it at an estate sale. I have an idea of what I'm going to use it for, but was curious the history, maker and how to properly clean it. A magnet does stick to it.
Does anyone know who made it or the era? It's a stumper. I'd like to clean it up but I'm not sure of the metal type and don't want to damage it. Suggestions?
Yes, the top does unscrew. I'm going to clean it up a bit and see what becomes of it. I was thinking possibly a towel holder? But what era? I sure wish it had some sort of markings.
That much I can guess, although I was thinking more of a teapot. Nonetheless, I cannot find the maker.
