These are the tools that the late Jonathan & Arlene Bailey used to create all of their creations utilizing the lost wax casting method. First, the wax model would be created to represent the final image. Second, that model would be secured to the flasks lower rubber cap and placed into the flask. Third, the flask would be filled with casting cement and all contained air would be removed through vacuum. The flask would be permitted to dry and remove the rubber cap. The oven would be heated and the flask containing the wax model would be placed inside the oven and the wax would melt revealing a perfect negative, hopefully. The casting machine would be charged and heated. At the right temperature, the gold will be placed inside the crucible and allowed to melt. The flask would be removed from the hot oven and placed inside the centrifugal casting machine. The centrifugal casting machine would be released and the gold would be forced into the mold's void and a gold model would be created. Hopefully, there are no imperfections due to failures in the mold or human error. The gold model is now ready to be removed and now the bench work and stone setting begins to create a masterpiece..
