I just popped on the abc website, they still had the episode on there so i watched it, it was J & L Lobmeyr. i've just googled them, but i think their glass is still too perfect to be the little green...
i caught the very end of an Antiques Roadshow episode on ABC on Friday, melbourne, afternoon. as i turned the station to ABC, it showed a signature, similar to the one here, they said J. L. Longmuir?,...

thanks Rose, i'm now looking at the monogram initials on the base, hopefully something will turn up sooner than later
