what are these..given to me by grandmother..please help,,all i know is that they are really old and they both work - Lamps

does anyone know approx. how old the really are?
was afraid to even plug in since they only have 2 prongs...but all was good when I did plug in...no sparks or shocks

I mean that they still both light up when you put bulb in..i did not know this until yesterday..have just had them on my dresser..have never put bulbs in them to see if they even lit up..but they do.D...
