This is a vintage Gaskell & Chambers bar opener w/capcatcher lugs for the UK. Checkout the Facebook link below to find out more about them. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1880498735415396...
Rod, you still collecting these days?
Nice collection! You should share it on the bottle opener collectors Facebook group page https://www.facebook.com/groups/605598323164204/?ref=bookmarks
Those early Starr openers are getting harder and harder to find (and in good condition). That would of been a great find for $5.00.

Definitely a bottle opener
I'm not sure on the progressus bottle opener though, it' might be from the late 1950 to early 60's era.
Your opener with that label was made between 1929-35. This one and all the others like them, are cataloged in the collecting book mentioned earlier in the show and tell. This particular Coca-Cola op...
Awesome display, great collection!
Here's a link to a site that will have the information about the information imprinted on the opener. H http://www.timaru.com/aeratedwaters_history/history4.htm
Very Cool! nice find.
This opener is in the book "Guide to Collecting Brown Mfg. Co. Starr Bottle Openers Since 1925" by Harold Eblen on page 71. It also will answer all your other questions you have on it and others Starr...
This opener (and many other types) can be found in the Schiffer book, "Soda Advertising Openers" by Don Bull/John Stanley, on page 88. Hope this helps.
Great looking collection! Great work. There's always one more to be found, you never know. Fun hobby.
Hey RadRod where you at these days????
Have a few of these examples myself, made around the time of WWII (1943-44). Most of the examples I've seen are Coca-Cola's.
Appreciate the kind comments thought it was time to share.
