great interior!you even have the "hatbox" (usually the 1st thing to disappear). i agree w/ trunkman 1890s.
i have the same trunk, picked it up about 15 yrs ago. the pattern on the tin is known as "grecian with dots". it is done from the reverse (back) side so that it is raised. dont worry, mine has a broke...
