My aunt purchased this item from an antique store recently, she had been eyeing it up for years and eventually bout the item.

She has asked me to find out as much as I can about the image and the origins of the plate. Unfortunately I'm new to this so I'm at a loss at to its origin or image.

I assume the picture is depicting a Chinese story of some sort, I am ruling out Japanese as the style depicted Chinese dress and facial hair.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Japanese Nabeshima ware painted in the Chinese style on Eggshell porcelian. Just exquiste as the Japanese are absolutely brilliant at what they do.

Dean was right, 100% agree. The figures are called seven deities of fortune(one in background).

well where is the Benzaitan instrumenten, and it is hard to imagine they isolute the 7 gods

i think it is a sort of servitude scene , like flowers handlers ann bird handlers etc to sell something

another question whij is this nabeshime blue ??

Well it is hard to solve problems with no reverse to be seen , so iyt is impossible tu judgepersonnaly i think bamboowood scenen where famous in late daoguang
