A friend called me a few weeks ago and said he was at the town dump and someone wanted to get rid of some books and asked if I'm interested,
sure I said.
These are the more intersting ones.
The one with Album written on it is from the 1850's,
The books are in written in German exept for the last one.
I love the embossed covers!
Thanks for saving books... I love the embossed ones too..
I recently went to a library sale and bought some amazing books some from late 1800s for a dollar each. They are gorgeous and I love them. I can't imagine these books not being preserved.
Are they all in English or are the first pictured ones in German?
Great addition to your collection, good for you!
Thank you DrFluffy for the love and nice comment!!!
Congratulations finding such antique books at a library sale,
I have been to a few myself and only found books from 40's and 50's.
Keep on finding!!!

Schiller, Lessing and Goethe: It doesn't get much better! I love books, especially old ones:)
The second picture in particular interests me this day, almost a portrait you might see in Shakespeare's time, what a fantastic find. I remember once I really wanted a German book and it was on Antique furniture, described before ww2. Super cool find !~
