This vase is one I recently bought at the monthly Sydney Antique and Collectors Fair.
The sticker on it says "Angus and Coote", a large chain of jewellery stores here in Australia.
I have no doubt this vase is by Sanyu Japan, and maybe they had a deal going with Angus and Coote because I have two other Sanyu pieces with the same sticker.
It's tall, 36cm, green to amber glass, and some radically hot worked clear casing it.
I think it's a hoot!
Frilly panties AND a new red dress!!!
As usual, fabulous glass vase, racer
I love it,
Also agree with sklo42, your new profile picture is great.

Holy .... Karen! I love this!!! The colors... the texture... not a straight line on the piece... WOW!!!
Karen, after seeing this, I had to look up Sanyu glass. I found your earlier post of this incredible vase!!! I want it!!! http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/131990-narumi-fantasy-glass-sanyu-japan-lumpy
More Yoshitomo Nara Peggy! I'm nowhere near that cute ...
Amusing vase yeah?!! Thanks.
Thanks Alan! My little girl loves you.
It's pretty in your face isn't it Rick!! Thanks.
Sanyu loved to hot work their clear casing. They often applied ribs and frills and yes, lumps. All very distinctive and to me great fun. They often catch the light well too.
Now if you want that lumpy vase build some muscles and strong shelves, and don't put it near your gorgeous delicate stuff. OK?
What a beauty!
"Now if you want that lumpy vase build some muscles and strong shelves".... So, I'm assuming you're letting me have it?? My email is in my profile... let me know, and I'll send you my address!! Just kidding of course :-)
LOL Rick! Ogre amongst the fairies at your house.
Thanks dear Fran.
