There's a lot going on with this vase but it still remains tranquil.
The Japanese probably have a name for that.....
I think they began with a clear base, added black, green and yellow (and some spots of orange!) to it and fiddled a bit. The inside was cased with a lustrous white glass, the exterior thickly cased in clear, and more lustre added. To finish off, a lovely little twisted clear glass necklace was added.
Out of all of my vases of this style and shape, this is currently my favorite.
About 25cm tall.
Gorgeous shades of green, Karen.
Yes this is different. I just love how there is sooo much depth to a vase like this. It's good that I now know what you are talking about when you describe it. I can just hear you say; "Learn on grasshoppa..."
Peggy you are always so complimentary! Thanks.
The Japanese style is amusing at times - sometimes almost garish but this one pulled it off.
Hey Sue! I always learn from posts here and know more about lots of stuff, so I'm glad you are too.
Thanks for the love!!
