An unusual Loetz P.G. 299. It doesn't have a pontil so I assume it was produced to wear the ornate ormolu bronze mount from the start. Impressed into the underside of the mount are three hallmarks: an 8, F, and S, all separated from each other. It appears to be a F. van Hauten design, completely original, intact and without any damage...something I hope I can say when I'm 113 years old.
I have not been able to identify a Loetz production line drawing yet. It stands 11 1/2" tall.
