There are some strange czech pieces coming from outside the US. My working theory is that certain countries imported pieces that were only produced in a single run and not in a series.
One of the things I like most about Kralik glass from the 1920s and 30s is that you will find surprising pieces that don't seem to fit in. This shape could have been made by other companies too! It is a simple shape.
I've most commonly seen this shape in cased tango- where the outside layer of glass is black and the inside layer is yellow, orange or red. Classic kralik- but wait! Does this technique remind you of the pieces with mottled base color and floral pattern (using powders) linked to Ruckl? Every time I feel sure about the wall that separates one manufacturer from another I find a brick missing down below and have to find a way to tear it down and start again : ) jm
Wow, this is certainly different!
Stunning piece.
Imitating 'Pezzato' .... FABULOUS !!!
