According to the newspaper article, with the same image engraved on the bottle's label, this was a wildly popular product. The article is actually a couple sections spliced together by me for a general view (as it went on and on) on their product, plus a partial section for another CW member to see that fire insurance did exist 'back in the day'.
Anyway, I found references to this product in only 1853 and 1854. The Physician's Sure Relief, or Universal Pain Killer. Likely just a bottle of opium. LOL.
Open pontil on bottom over snap-case seam, like last pontiled bottle I showed. This is my smallest pontiled bottle with label still attached. See modern Bic pen-cap for comparison (pic 3).

Thank you, elanski. Labeled pre-1920 bottles are my interest. This grouping is all 1840s/1850s.
Ms. Crystal Ship, I agree. And in my care they will have them on for two centuries. My labeled bottles are all in a cupboard, to protect from light and air-chemical damage (purifier and desiccants in behind them), but these are also in their own glass box that seals against outside humidity (with desiccants) so they have a very controlled and stable environment. Any loose bits are re-adhered with acid-free rubber cement.
There was a almost mint-condition Laudanum bottle from the same era I bid on, but I saw another one online and questioned if a stash of very old labels were found (the company was around in this time and later with a few surviving examples from them) and added to bottles in recent times, or if the store harboured them for 150 years. So, I let the bottle go to the highest bidder though it sold for just under normal value.
I like to look into things. I'm one of those people who want unique, one-of-a-kind things. When I find out there's two of something, my excitement diminishes (because if you can find another online, there's a good chance there're more not online).
I'm all about maintaining and preserving. Just yesterday I was lathering up with leather lotion some old skates I'm gonna try this year. Today I was buffing rust out of a enameled table for my mom. Can't wait till she see's it! All set-up, clean, and with placements styled for the '30s.

Sounds like the basement library (probably not, LOL). Not enough shelves! I hope this winter to organise again, though. It's amazing how stuff just seems to go wherever it pleases. LOL.
