    I picked this tool up about 10 years ago at a used tool shop and so far noone can tell me what it was used for. It has the words "Art Tool Co Spokane Wash" and "Pat. 614,24"

      They are piston ring pliers.

      For installing new piston rings? That does make sense. Must not have been extremely successful, I've shown it to quite a few mechanic types and they were stumped.

      They also remove the old rings. I only have more modern ones but the basic design is the same.

      I'm not sure there was a basic design to begin with ! LOL !
