Rubin is one of my favorite ground colors for Loetz, and these early (unidentified) DEKs on Hofstötter forms in Rubin matte iridescent represent a transition between Loetz's historicism and art nouveau periods. The bowl in the third photo is from the early 1890s; these two vases date to about 1900. Each vase is about 7" tall and 5.5" wide.
