During the Civil War Centennial different cities and states made commemorative coins. Montgomery made this 50 cent piece that could be used at stores in Montgomery for the period specified. I had one during this time.
I've been looking for one in nice shape. I got this for what I think is a fair price. I haven't collected coins since Jr. High and they have different grading systems now. This one is graded at MS63, that means Mint Shape 63 on a scale of 1-70. This probably is the best condition I'll find one in. You'll have to expand the pics, it was hard getting a close up without glare. Sorry about that and thanks for dropping by.

I posted one of these a few yrs. back.
B2 I was pretty sure you were living here during the Centennial. I used to see them regularly at flea markets/antiques, but they're harder to find now especially in good shape not tarnished.
Came down from Anniston for it. I'll see if I can get it from KY and send it to you.
Thanks BB2, bless your heart.
