Hello everyone!!
This is an out unusual post for me, but I came across this set of vintage medicine bottles today while treasure hunting and couldn't pass them up. I don't know how old these would be, but maybe someone out there can tell me. I'm guessing early 1900's. The bottles each measure 3 1/4" long and 5/8" diameter. Several of the bottles still have something in them as shown in pic #3.
Thanks for stopping in and for any help you can give me!!
Scott
Careful with the contents!! Cocaine and other stuff was legal back then.
Just a thought!!
Stuff
That brown bottle almost looks like it has bugs in it.
I think that you are on the right track with the date.
Thanks Stuff!! The bottle that looks white only has residue, but has several empty capsules in it.
Thanks TreasureTex!! I put some of the contents of that bottle into my hand, Not sure what it is, but it's not bugs. I'm guessing it's something to make some sort of medicinal tea with.
Lol Rob!! No, I'm far from qualifying as a doctor:) I do have an antique doctor's medicine trunk and these'll go great with the.

Still looking for the wabbit or dawg ! Where are they ?
That's a very cool set. I can imagine FortApache with this.
It would be fascinating to know what the contents actually are (or were)!
Currently for external use only :)))
No wabbits or dawgs this time BB2.
Thanks Karen!! I thought so as well. I don't usually buy items such as these, but I was intrigued by them and they were pretty inexpensive as well. Hard to say what the contents are, but I know a lot of herbs were prescribed back then. My Great, Great Grandmother was an herb doctor.
Many thanks to you all for the loves, comments and for taking time to stop in!!

Had a small blue bottle from my grandmother's house after she died on my counter for several years. It was full and I figured what was in it had probably gone bad, so I washed it out. An antique dealer friend who was into drugs, saw it & asked where I got the morphine bottle. (This was the day after I had emptied it) Then, "Know what that would be worth if it was full ?". I didn't tell him because I didn't want to see him cry.
Holy smokes BB2! I'd be afraid to ask what that was worth. You know Bayer introduce heroin in 1898 as a non-addictive alternative to morphine. Ironically, morphine was later used to treat heroin addiction!!!!!
