Posting this quick as power has been going out a lot these last few days. It has been rough up here since Thanksgiving. Anyway on with more of the briefcase full of Scout stuff.
Up first is a group of sliders. 4 Boy Scout, 2 Cub Scout and 1 Webelo. Got my money's worth just with these.
Next a belt with the loop awards. These made the belt uncomfortable to wear.
#3 is mostly camp patches with same Quality Unit patches and 4 Council Patches. Council patches are my favorite of this lot. The Mississippi Council Patch features a riverboat and so on.
Last is the circa 1980 shirt. This bridges the previous collarless shirt and the de la Renta shirt of the 1980s. More on this later with proper patches.

Nice collection. Somewhere around here I think I have my neckerchief and slide.... My twin and I were in the scouts very briefly. I don't think we liked the structure and discipline. Same with church. Then we both joined the military at 17.... Worked out well enough for me. My twin, not so much.

That Council patch says "A P Hill" . Know the meaning of that ? The C.S. general I assume.

Thank you very much kwqd. Glad the military worked out for you.

      Thank you very much Findings.

Thank you very much OLECODY. That is a bummer. Seems like she should give them back.

      Thank you very much elanski.

Thank you very much bb2. As AP Hill was a Virginian. there is also an Army Fort in Virginia named for him so I am thinking it is the Confederate General.

      Probably where it was held.

bb2 the Mississippi Valley Council seems to be in Iowa and I can't figure out the connection to AP Hill who was from Virginia.
