A friend of mine recently had his house re-roofed...afterward he used one of those 'magnetic sweeper' things to try to collect errant nails/etc from his gravel driveway. Amongst many of those (and assorted rusty screws, and assorted other crap I don't need to be parking on) were these assorted other little bits of old metal stuff recovered...
[BTW, why do we 'park' on a 'driveway' but 'drive' on a 'parkway'...??? oh well, nevermind... <lol>]
Top row, from left: two old bottle caps, both with remaining bits of blue paint but not discernable names on them. One (former) carriage bolt, was probably once 1/2" x 2-1/4". One aluminum pull tab from an old beer/soda can, it must have just got caught on something else magnetic for the sweeper...?? The round cylinder is actually a magnet itself, lawwd only knows what/where it came from, and one belt buckle with pink (??) paint drops splashed on it.
Underneath is a galvanized stamped metal bracket thingie with "LIFETIME" on its front side. Not sure what it really is but I'm guessing some little bit of something that's supposed to be part of utility/power line equipment...?? It is 4-1/2" long.
THANKS MUCH to Vynil33rpm, kwqd, Watchsearcher, fortapache, Newfld, vetraio50, yougottahavestuff, Brunswick, blunderbuss2, & Irishcollector. for stopping by and leaving the <love it>s for this little motley collection of mostly rusty junk! <smile>
Just added a 4th pic of the tops of the bottle caps in case someone else recognizes something I haven't seen yet...?? :-) :-) :-)
