This is quite a large Loetz vase, it stands H=26, Do=24, Du=14 cm and was made in 1927. The accordingly design paper is lost, but a nearly matching dècor could be seen in PN=III/3612 and almost the same shape in PN=III/3628. The design of this vase is rather complex and exhibits Loetz full mastership in combining 'Early Loetz Barock Glass' techniques with elaborate 'Art Deco' tango glass production. The vase is made of clear crystal glass decorated by embedded air bubbles. Onto the inner side brownish irregular glass flecks partly enhanced by silver-yellow glass are melted. Lastly the inner part is coated by 'Goldgelb' glass seen as background of the décor from the outside. The inner and outer parts are highly iridized. The 'tree bark' foot and the 'astartig' stem are also made of crystal clear glass and attached to each other, and to the vase bowl as well, by a larger number of pulled out teardrops. The 'Barock Glass' décor is described likewise in PN=III/3612 as 'Goldgelb mit Kristall, 4 Blaetter gruen mit schwarz Cobalt Silberiris' (gold-yellow with crystal, 4 leaves green with black cobalt silver-iris) and in some cases the fruits are explicitly mentioned. Here one plum is 'Cobalt' and the second of 'Candia Silberiris' glass. This type of vase is produced mostly only once or in very small limited series, it does not belong to any 'Ausfuehrung' nor to any 'Phenomen Genre', nevertheless these vases exhibit a very unique appearance.

Astonishing piece! It brings together so many styles & periods of art glass, & actually looks a lot like a high end example of Post Modern studio glass from the 1980s - 1990s!

It's the same base decor as my little mushroom vase. This piece is spectacular!

      Dear Warren,
thank you for reminding onto your post 'Loetz Mandarin mit rotem Kroesel' where you discussed an almost identical décor related to my vase. The main difference being the 'green Aventurin Kroesel' in your example as compared to, what I called 'silver-yellow' spots. Actually those might have been made of very fine grinded Mica instead of yellow-silver glass. But also on looking at more then 10-fold magnification, I couldn't resolve any tiny Mica particles.

I would like to take the chance to thank All for your kind comments and 'Loves'.
