Giant Round Bottom Flask
15 1/2" Tall
Mouth: 3 1/8" side to side and 1/4" thick
Picked this up today...ok, ok..I don't know that it's really a flask. But it sure is thick! Maybe I can make some mash for some moonshine! Just kidding! I plan on using it for a flower pot or maybe fill it full of old keys from my collection? For $10, I couldn't pass it up.
No markings at all. Appears to be 1 piece, no visible seams.
Added a picture of my male Malinois Ueli for perspective. He is about 75 lbs .
i see you have your guard dog keeping a eye on things ....smiling ..cool pooch..'=))
That is a fantastic large flask with very handsome Ueli keeping it company - he looks to have a great temperament and is quite photogenic
Thank you..Ueli is a very mellow dog. He could sleep all day...unless he smells frisbee! Then he's so excited!
Now Sansa on the other hand, she is a real pure bred Belgium Malinois. She has crazy energy! From the moment she wakes up, it sounds like a lady in a lamaze class..
Pic added.. now I have a few ideas bouncing around... some leds for ambiance? This would be great in your garden or on your steps for that dinner party or bbq...
Appears to be a Florence flask for boiling. I used them for a variety of liquids throughout my career in chemistry. They do make attractive decor for the home - I have a few .... nice dog :)
Very cool! That's come seriously thick glass. Awesome looking dog you have there!
dav2no1, Ueli looks like a wonderful lap dog (in my family, it isn't a lap dog unless it covers your entire lap). <3
Thank you...Ueli & Sansa were both rescues that I adopted last year. When I first got Ueli, he was still young(about 1 year) he thought he was a lap dog and would jump right in. Now that he is at his full healthy weight, about 75 lbs of muscle, I have broke him of this habit.
Hoot - thank you for the information. I was thinking it was a real flask.
MsC...Sansa is the pure bred(foster had DNA done) so she is super hyper like all Malinois are. That's why the police love them, they will work all day and only need a few minutes rest. They need tons of exercise or they get get antsy.
When they found her. She was wandering the streets of California, weighed 42 lbs, and half her body to her butt was almost missing hair from fleas and possibly chewing. I always hear, The Doors, LA Woman playing when I look at her.. I will post some pictures of them with a full story soon.
Gotta <love it> again -- for the cool flask and its handsome canine guardian, AND for the new pic -- it looks awesome with the little LED lights in it, what a great display idea!!! (that I'm liable to steal...I've got a few 'glass things', and LED lights...<lol>)
Thanks AO. It looks great amongst my other collectibles..
