Glass Ashtray of unknown origin. Possibly Germany, Italy or Chicago. No maker mark. I don't know enough about glass production to say whether this was hand blown or mass produced. Unfortunately it has a chip.

Quite unusual the two tone production. Its a beauty. There was a piece like it I saw a while back but now I see they removed it. So nice to see this piece of art glass !~

Thanks PhilDMorris. The couple who owned it lived in Italy, Germany & Chicago - could've been a gift from someone they knew. I don't know where it originated. No marks on the bottom. Good to know there's another one out there! Thanks again.

Very attractive item. It appears to be a bowl designed by Flavio Poli for Cedenese (Murano). If you scroll their name I am sure you will find your piece. Poli designed some beautiful glass and the firm Cedenese is/was a top line maker.

Thank you Noname for solving this mystery ! I did scroll Flavio Poli for Cedenese (Murano) and found similar beautiful ashtrays. It's been cloudy here, but when the sun does show, I will take pics outside & update these photos. Thank you, again.

Hi. Me again. I forgot to mention that the item was hand done and beautifully polished. Considering how many bowls are out there, what you have is reasonably rare and not cheap if the dealer knows what he/she has. They were made in a variety of shapes and sizes and I do not see them very often where I am. I find it hard to believe that they were mass produced because they are hard to find. Sunlight will bring the best out your treasure. Enjoy.
