This might be Ming Wanli - it certainly has alot of the elements of one, but i bought it as an early Kangxi plate. I love the design. I could afford it because it's been broken and repaired [poorly, but it was done w/ superglue - grrrr!].
this is not ming wanli
is it early Kangxi?
it looks genuine kangxi , timespread is wide for narrowing it down,
It looks more like a Jewish-related ornament to me
i noticed the star of david as well - intentional or not, who knows?!
thanks apostata. i was hoping it was Kangxi.
strange garlands , i don,t know these garlands in the kangxi period, must have missed something but i don,t know what , it still remains 18 century i think, i like it
Kangxi make sense i think , an equivalent of an Aster plate , this make sense with the scallope rim and the light blue after glaring of the bottom
don,t bad bit damage that,s all history known probably
