GI Joe M79 Grenade Launcher Hasbro

The M79 Grenade Launcher was sold as part of the Rifle Rack set. This set was only sold in 1968 and is fairly rare. It has a bit of artistic license with the gold paint which was more gray or black. In photo 3 I have it with a Palitoy version which was sold in Great Britain well into the 1970s and is much more common. The difference is the way the sling is attached. The Habro sling is elastic and attached by rings. The Palitoy has pegs for a plastic sling. See photo 3. Finally it is on the Rifle Rack. GI Joe's like Rifle Racks.
