An E4 style box to be exact. Boxes are so important to Matchbox collecting because it is in the name. But thanks to the many carrying cases made for the Matchbox cars few boxes survived.
The E Style box premiered in 1964 and were used through 1968. Other box types were used at the same time but these would be older models and older style boxes would be used until the stock run out. F Style boxes were introduced with the new models that came out in 1968 but the older models continued with F boxes. In 1969 all models were sold with F boxes which was the first year since the early days all box types were the same.
The E style box is noted for "Matchbox" in a curve across the top. Each box type would have larger and improved art over the previous. The early E boxes had no art on the end flaps. The E4 is the final type and as seen has a large image of the model.
As for the model I posted it a ways back. It is a dump truck.
