This (now) shelf decoration/light-up toy was scored at a secondhand store a few years ago -- the only thing I regret is that I didn't buy *both* of them that were there... <groan> It is, as it says, a commercial stage or studio spotlight fixture. I'm guessing it is 1950's or 60's, don't really know. Its fully adjustable bracket is intended to hang it from an overhead pipe or etc. and aim in any which way necessary, this particular fixture was probably set up more as a general 'flood' light for an area than an actual 'spot' light with defined edges, but the light bulb socket within is also adjustable back and forth (for focal length) behind its inner clear fresnel lens, which is fixed in place. The colored roundels (I have red and blue) are an industry standard 5-5/16" size and were made by many glass makers, they slide into a holder in front of the fresnel lens on the swing open door.
Pic 4 shows its makers labels, KLIEGL BROS. SHOP 22 of New York. The ratings plate shows it was intended to hold a large 500w (!!) bi-pin bulb, lacking one of those, I made and added some small brass prong-extenders for a common little 25w halogen bulb instead.
