This small opale violett 'Early Loetz' vase was especilly ordered to fit into this exquisite gilded pewter dolphin mount. The Loetz production number remains as unknown, as the name of the mount producer. This assembly was made in the late 1890's and the vase is finely enameled in the 2.nd Rococo style Dek=I/200, fitting very well to this dolphin mount in the very same style. Including mount the vase stands H=20.5 cm high, the diameter at the bottom is D=9x8 cm, the vase itself is H=13,5 and D=4.5 cm.
Very beautiful and the size makes a big difference when they do such good chasing detail work on the tiny bronze casting. Impeccable !~
LOVE THE COLOR!!!
Oh my goodness Kai, this is an amazing piece for your collection! The glass and the mount look like one piece - it would be hard to tell where one material ends and the other begins except for the colors. And it looks to be in perfect condition, too - congratulations!
WONDERFUL !!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!
