I have collected telephone intercoms for the past 25 + years. This SH Couch intercom had to be used in a apartment entry way. the 64 push button had tabs with only names. the photo's show a before and after my restoral.

Nice restoration..would be nice to see you put the names back in, it's part of its history.

Some of those name tags are interesting.
Do I spy "Wild Bill?" It can't be Wild Bill Hickock, because he died in 1876.
Then I think I see "(Isaac) Asimov," "(Everett) Dirksen," and "(Isaac) Newton."

keramikos, Yes there are some strange names on one side of the tabs. Wild Bill is one, lady Mary Montagu she goes back to 1689. and another is Ho Chi Minh I don't think he lived there. Turn the tabs over and there are name I have traced to New York City from the turn of the century. Some people didn't want there real names on the directory, so they used fictitious names.
