i found this plate recently. i think it's very pretty, but i don't know much about it. i never trust what is described by people selling Chinese pieces. I think that this is a 19th c plate, but not sure. Any help appreciated!
this is for sure not an 19 century plate
it looks awful difficult, but actually it aint look at Ching dynasty marks and Ming dynasty even if you cant read any chinese symbol ANY 4 DOT mark is (fake) Kangxi
so this is an Kangxi Nian ZHI ( kiangxi periode made)
actually and theoretically there are no 4 character kiang nian zhi before 1880 and certainly not in red
IMO this is not even Guangxu ran out or early republic , this is rubber stamped , it is not in any form related to an (pseudo) ferro red and most of the republic are pseudo ferro red Kangxi,s , but at least they are not stamped
look at the bats if you did it ,not stamp you got stroking , there is no stroking, the difference of colour is the relief of the stamp
so IMO this is made around 1960, still cute
thanks apostata. i can see the stamping now. i appreciate your schooling.
Beautiful!
