Picked up two Edmonstone Co. of New York City wall intercoms. both needed restoral as you can see by the photo's. Still had the original dry cell batteries. The transmitter was patented by George Anders and assigned the patent to the American Push Button Telephone Company. The company went bankrupt in 1905 and the patents were purchased by the Edmonstone Co.
Nice and A tremendous bonus ,,,the batteries
Thank you Vynil33rpm
Love that there is no nicks at the edges so you know they were not kicked all about. Gorgeous. I remember the batteries from the farm phones, these have to be very rare !~
PhilDMorris, More than likely the batteries were replaced after so many years. At the bottom of these batteries they are stamped c 1924. But even so these batteries have been in this wall phone for a long time.
Excellent that it has the batteries and that they are matching.
