I picked up this radio at an estate sale about four years ago.
    It is a Westinghouse [1935] model 165
I restored the chassis with new capacitors, and checked the tubes and resistors.
    Now it plays very good.
The biggest part was restoring the cabinet, but once that was done, the radio looks like it is new.
    Enjoy, Dan Walker

The images were not sideways when I put them in.
Maybe someone at collectors weekly can fix it Dan Walker

I just use a desk computer and never get sideways from taking pics from Phones. Maybe you have a friend who has a desk you can use once in a while

      I only have a desk computer,so I don't know what happened.

danwalker, Try editing copies of the sideways pictures just a skosh.

For example, trim the long sides of the rectangular images just a bit, then edit the post, and replace the sideways versions with the edited ones.

I remember in the late 70's there were lots of pedestal size radios for sale, now they are quite rare.

There is a metal plate on the back of the radio chassis and it tells you the model number. I got the schematics form Pacific TV. when you go to Pacific TV scroll all the way down to the bottom and look for Westinghouse model 165

We went to get the radio. It's so beautifu!
I have to find 1 knob and repair some part of the cabinet, but it's still in good sahpe.
I confirm that its a model 165. That was is writen on the metal plate. But how do i know the year ? Where did you find it was 1935?
      Thank you.

I am not sure where I got the year from. It could have been from my Radio college of Canada disk,or from one of my fellow forum members. If I didn't know the year I would not have put it on this site..

I didn't explain myself well. ( excuse my english i do not speak english very often).

What i wanted to say is: if i have the same model as you, can i supposed its the same year ? Did westinghouse sold this kind of radio for many years?
Thank you for all your answer . I'm not a pro and i appreciate your help.

Most of the time [depending on the make of radio] the same model was produced for a couple of years . I don't know the time span that they made this model.
It has the same chassis as the RCA models 128 and 124.
You DO NOT want to turn the radio on before it is serviced You can damage the transformer
