I picked this interesting picture up at a church sale yesterday. It is a print of a painting done in the 1500’s by Raphael Sanzio. It has a framers sticker on back and was framed in Maryland. I was curious to see if anyone might know if these are modern prints or might be older prints. It was neat to have the picture and then a close up of some of the people. Hope you enjoy and welcome any comments
Beautiful antique print MrsT, very nice find
Mrstyndall, Beautiful.
No idea on the vintage of your prints, but here's a color version of Raphael's painting, and some background:

Jenni, thank you, I thought it was a neat piece.

Keramikos, thank you for all the links and the info :)
Mrstyndall, You're welcome. :-)
I couldn't find any evidence of engravings other than the one by Giuseppe Longhi, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
Further, the age of your prints is TBD. I don't know if you've done any online research about the framer, but that's one avenue of exploration.
You also might consider opening the framing to examine the prints for more information.
Keramikos, thanks for the tips. It would be cool if they were by Longhi, but I kind of think that they are probably newer. Maybe I’ll open it eventually to see.
