Picked this lamp up in Long Beach two weeks ago. Since then it has been providing lighting for the items I have been posting, along with another gooseneck lamp. Seems to work quite well. The lightbulb came with it, hopefully it isn't the kind that requires a hazardous waste disposal team if it gets broken.
May favorite part of this lamp is the ornate base. The seller said it was 1930s but 1930s is more art deco and streamlined. I was thinking 1920s. Just a guestimate on my part.
Got another outing coming up this weekend so stay tuned to see what I find.
Cool find!
Thank you very much Mrstyndall.
Big Chance it's a "Faries Manufacturing Company" out of Illinois.
Nice find and very practical.
The design is beautiful with the almost prehistoric look and very Art Nouveau !~
Thank you very much mp.kunst. It does seem to be from that era.
Thank you very much Phil. Looks like I was right with the time period.
