There were many vintage German sewing machine makers and Pfaff (pictured) was only one.

Per Harald Demmer there were "more than 200 German sewing machine manufacturers around the turn of the [19th/20th] century."

      REFERENCES 20220621:

This is an excellent resource for vintage sewing machines overall, but particularly German-made ones, from Adler to Zuendapp:

      https://www.naehmaschinenverzeichnis.de/

It's all in German; however, if you don't speak German, Google Translate is your friend. };-)

at the Moment it is one of the most useful geman sewing machine sites but you have to process the information with a certain amount of caution.
      - Not everything is really well researched and even obvious errors are only corrected very slowly.
      - there are large gaps in the timeline of some manufacturers
      - some manufacturers are still missing completely

Nopi, Yes, naehmaschinenverzeichnis isn't perfect; however, it's much better than a sharp stick in the eye. };-)
