I just got this radio and the metal plate on the rear states that it's chassis is a #83.
The radio is a DeForest Crosley, and it has eight tubes.
So far I did find out that the chassis 83 is called ''the Countess''.
I have been doing radios for over 15 years and this one has me stumped.
I can't find a schematic for a model 83 anywhere on the internet. I can't even find a photo of this cabinet.
I did try Rogers, Deforest Crosley and Majestic with no luck.
Some one had changed some of the electrolytic caps and
I need the schematic to install the correct tubes and caps.
It will be nice when I get it done IF I CAN GET THE SCHEMATIC
Looks similar to this model..

Have you looked here...from first glance it appears they have it?

Thanks for the interest..The first radio is MY 'Buckingham'' and the cabinet is the only thing that is similar. The second one you posted does not have it mine is s model 83, and they don't show that model Dan Walker
An update on this radio-------I finally did find the schematics from ''Just radios' in eastern Canada . When they arrive I can get to work on this one.

I can't wait to see it when you're done Dan -- you *always* do such spectacular work restoring these wonderful old radios!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
