Welcome to CW. Your pictures are not great..can you edit you post and give us a clear picture of the bottom. This will help date it.

Online sites show the facility was operational from 1973- 1995.

Additionally, military lighters like these saw their heyday in the mid 1960s- 1970s.

Would suspect this is from that overlap time period.

      Hi
The date stap on the bottom is F lll
So think it's late 80s, this has come into my position totally by accident, I do not collect ZIPPO or military, so I am a bit lost on what to do with it , just think it's to nice a thing to be left on the glove box of a slowly rusting away car , or for me to chuck in a draw not to be seen again for another 20 years

Looking closer, it appears you are correct..1987. If the information is correct, this still falls within the operational years of the facility. There's probably some Navy collectors that would like to have it..maybe donate it to a naval museum or sell it and donate to a local VFW?

Firstly big thanks for all the comments and help , little bit of digging and I have found out that there is a volunteer run museum in Haverfordwest pembrokeshire that hold items from Brawdy, so I'm thinking it should go to them , credit going to dav2no1as it was his idea , but in the mean time if anyone knows of anyone in the USA that served there I would be willing to gift it to them , again thanks for all the help ,

Pretty cool.. hopefully you come back and show us some of your stuff. There must be something that you collect?

Well as it happens , in the glove box was also so very unusual lighters that I have never seen before one brass and one copper, I feel that these have some major age, so yes I will be back, but again I'm at a loss what to do with them
